Regional Cal Black Chamber of Commerce SFV" (RCBCC) is a strong association of successful business owners, professionals, and entrepreneurs.
As President and CEO, I want to send a sincere and warm “thank you” to each and every one of you for being a part of and supporting this very prestigious organization.
As President/CEO, my plans are to continue to assist in providing regional strategic assistance of empowerment to small, minority, and women-owned businesses in gaining social equality and economic empowerment through, education, capital resource access, networking, and marketing collaborations.
The RCBCC Chamber was born in 2000, out of the need for stronger representation in economic development, government awareness, educational and community service involvements in this region, for small, - minority, emerging and women owned businesses.
As President, my desire to carry out these massive and much needed programs will be a prodigious task, and it will require sincere and concentrated efforts on everyone’s part.
The RCBCC Chamber has received many special recognitions such as "Chamber of the year", and numerous others from city, state & federal agencies over the years. Its growth from inception to the present, boast some 500 various categories of business members and stakeholders and hundreds of supporters. RCBCC is proud to serve the entire San Fernando valley and its neighboring cities of Burbank/ Glendale, North Hollywood, LA Metro West (Marina del Rey) and San Clarita/Valencia.
The (RCBCC) Regional Cal Black Chamber of Commerce corporate office is strategically located in the city of Encino, (San Fernando Valley) but is effective... "Statewide".
As President/Ceo, I will maintain an abundance of time focusing on the needs of the small, minority, emerging African American & women-owned business in the chamber.
Serving as President/Ceo, I have come to learn that the best and most valuable investment our business members can have to grow their business is the following...
(1) To expand its client database and connect with potential purchasers of their products and services, and
(2) Build a strong collaboration between corporate America, government, and other viable small businesses for sustainable and continuous growth.
(3) Moreover, I feel educating the small business and emerging entrepreneurs is an absolute necessity not a wish!
The Chamber's roster of services, in part shown will focus on the following...
- -New member recognition
- -Quarterly business after hours mixers
- -Corporate business forums
- -Strategic Professional empowerment business workshop series… to includes topics from start-up business, capital, certification, education, public policy, & so much more.
- -City, State and Federal contacts
- -Community calendar
- -Occasional lobbying trips to our Nation's Capitals (Sacramento and Washington DC).
As President, my genuine memories of today and yesterdays are the blocks with which I can build our tomorrow. Leadership is an action not a position! It's a reflection of ourselves at a time and place we always want to be remembered. Today, right now, help me stay the course…this is how I wish to be remembered, serving you as a servant of The Community.
Sincerely Serving,
In Solidarity,
Ma'Dame President - MC Townsend
